Ingredients
- 1 kg Chicken cut into medium pieces
- 3 cups Coconut – grated grated, (extract thick juice and keep aside, then grind and extract thin juice)
- 4 tbsp Oil
- 3 nos Onions medium sized - chopped
- 1 no Tomatoes large sized - chopped
- 10 nos Green chillies medium - finely chopped
Grind this into a fine paste:
- 15-20 nos Cashew nuts soak in hot water
- 2 tbsp Poppy seeds
- 4 nos Cloves
- 2 inch Cinnamon
- ½ pod Garlic peeled
To Marinate the chicken:
- 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1 no Lemon Juice
- Salt as per taste
Instructions
- Clean the chicken and marinate it. Set it aside for 30 minutes.
- In a pot, cook the marinated chicken with thin coconut milk over medium heat until it is half cooked.
- In another pan, heat oil and add chopped onions and green chillies. Sauté until the onions turn soft. Then, add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they are mashed.
- Grind the soaked cashew nuts, poppy seeds, cloves, cinnamon, and garlic into a fine paste.
- Add the ground paste to the pan and fry until well blended.
- Add the cooked chicken to the pan and cook for a few more minutes or until the chicken is done.
- Pour in the thick coconut milk and bring it to a boil.
- Your creamy chicken white curry is ready.
- Serve it hot with bread or chapati.
