Ingredients
- 10 nos Prawns large sized, cleaned and de-veined
- 2-3 tsp Chilli powder
- ½ tsp Turmeric (haldi)
- 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- Salt as per taste
- Rice flour and semolina mix as per requirement
- 1 nos Egg
For Garnishing:
- 1 no Onions medium sized
- 1 no Tomatoes –1 small one small sized
- ½ no Lemon
Instructions
- Clean the prawns and remove the veins. Make a deep cut on the back of each prawn and rinse them thoroughly.
- Place the prawns on a tissue paper to absorb excess water.
- In a bowl, add the prawns, chilli powder, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, and salt. Mix well and let it marinate for half an hour.
- Beat the egg and add salt to it. Dip each prawn in the beaten egg and then roll it in the rice flour and semolina mix, coating it evenly.
- Flatten the prawns gently and set them aside.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Carefully place the prawns in the hot oil and fry them until they turn golden brown on both sides. You can choose to shallow fry or deep fry them.
- Once cooked, remove the prawns from the pan and place them on a tissue paper to drain any excess oil.
- Serve the Prawns Rawa Fry on a serving plate with lemon wedges, tomato rings, and onion rings.
