Ingredients
- 2 nos Crabs medium sized
- ½ no Onions very finely chopped
- 3 nos Garlic Cloves very finely chopped
- 1 no Green Chilli chopped
- 1 no Green Capsicum chopped
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1 no Egg finely beaten
- Bread Crumbs as needed
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Remove the shell from the crabs and set aside.
- Clean the crabs thoroughly.
- Clean the crab shells properly (they will be used for stuffing).
- In a large pot, bring four glasses of water to a boil. Add the crabs and salt. Cook until done. Remove from water and set aside.
- Once cooled, remove the crab meat and keep it aside.
- Clean the crab shells and set them aside.
- In a thick-bottomed pan, melt butter and add chopped onions. Sauté until pink.
- Add garlic, green chillies, and capsicum. Sauté for a few minutes.
- Add the crab meat, salt, and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well.
- Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Stuff each crab shell with the filling.
- Brush the stuffed crabs with beaten egg and coat them with bread crumbs.
- Heat a deep/shallow frying pan. Arrange the crabs with the shell facing down. Cover with a lid and cook on low heat for 1-2 minutes. Then, flip them over to cook the stuffed portion.
- Open the lid and check if they are cooked using a toothpick.
- Transfer to a serving dish.
- Serve hot with a side of green salad.
