Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour (Maida)
  • ¾ cup Powdered Sugar
  • ½ cup Milk
  • ½ tsp Baking powder
  • ¼ tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Vinegar or lime juice
  • ½ tsp Vanilla essence
  • ½ cup Oil

Instructions

  • In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and oil until well combined. Alternatively, use a mixer to blend the ingredients. Transfer the mixture to a mixing bowl.
  • Add sieved all-purpose flour, baking powder, and baking soda to the bowl. Mix well to form a smooth batter. Incorporate the delightful aroma of vanilla essence into the mixture.
  • Divide the batter equally into two separate bowls. In one of the bowls, add cocoa powder and mix well to create the luscious chocolate swirl batter.
  • Grease a cake tin or tray with oil or butter, and place a butter paper at the bottom for easy release.
  • To create the captivating marble effect, spoon one portion of the white batter into the prepared tin, followed by one portion of the chocolate swirl batter. Repeat this alternating pattern until all the batter is used. Use a toothpick to gently swirl and create beautiful designs on the surface.
  • Preheat a pan or cooker (without the whistle and rubber gasket) and carefully place the cake tin inside. Close the lid and bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a knife or a toothpick in the center—the cake is ready when it comes out clean.
  • Once the cake has cooled and detached from the edges of the tin, invert the tin onto a plate to reveal the exquisite chocolate marble cake. Cut into slices or shapes of your choice.

Notes

  • Ensure that all the ingredients are at room temperature before starting the recipe for better mixing and baking results.
  • Sieve the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and baking soda to remove any lumps and ensure a smooth batter.
  • Use good quality cocoa powder for the chocolate swirl to achieve a rich and intense chocolate flavor.
  • Be creative with the swirling technique to create beautiful patterns on the cake's surface.
  • Adjust the baking time as per your oven or cooker settings. The cake should be baked until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Enjoy the Delicious Chocolate Marble Cake. Happy Cooking.
