Maida Donuts

Donuts are something that most of us foodies and dessert lovers crave for… BUT ever thought that making your own Donuts can be more fun rather than just eating them? Well, we have some good mouth-watering Donut recipes for you.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 & ½ cup Maida
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 1 cup Toned Milk
  • 2 tbsp Active Yeast
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 1 no Egg
  • Chocolate for the syrup

Instructions
 

  • In warm Milk add active yeast, sugar, salt and keep for yeast activation for 15 minutes.
  • Sieve Maida and add the activated mixture of milk and knead the dough for 15-20 mins till it forms a smooth dough.
  • Keep it in a warm place covered with a wet muslin cloth and keep aside for 1 hour.
  • Knead again for 5 mins and roll the dough into a 1/2 inch thick. Cut them with a doughnut cutter. Keep aside for 15 mins  covered with a wet muslin cloth.
  • Deep fry it till golden brown. Remove the donuts coat it with chocolate syrup or sugar-cinnamon powder/peanuts.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 & ½ cup Rawa
  • 2 cups or tbsp Milk or Condensed Milk
  • 2 tbsp Ghee or Butter
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 6 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Maida
  • Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Take a Kadai, in it add Milk, Sugar and Ghee and boil,
  •  Once the milk is boiled add Rawa and cook till its dry.
  • Take the mixture from the Kadai and place it on a large plate and add baking powder and mix well till it is formed into a dough.
  • Keep aside for 30 minutes.
  • When cooled, make round balls using both your hands
  • Take a thick butter paper or on any clean flat surface, dust it with little maida. Roll the dough with a rolling pin into 1/2 inch thick and cut them with the donut cutter(for inner circle use the smaller donut cutter)
  • Take a deep frying pan. Add oil, once it is hot fry the rolled donut on a medium flame till golden brown.
  •  Roll the donut into the sugar and cardamom powder.

Notes

Mix sugar powder and cardamom powder
