Kadai Mushroom Recipe | Quick & Delicious Mushroom Curry

Ingredients
  

For Saute:

  • 200 gms Mushrooms (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp Butter

For Gravy:

  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 1-2 nos Cardamom Pods
  • 3-4 nos Cloves
  • 1 inch Cinnamon Stick
  • 3-4 nos Pepper Corns
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • Salt as per taste
  • 2 nos Onions large - finely chopped
  • 1 no Tomato large - chopped
  • ½ cup Yogurt (Dahi)
  • ½ tbsp Cumin Powder
  • ½ tbsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Powder

For Tadka:

  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • ½ tbsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 no Onion large, cubed
  • 1 no Kashmiri Chilli
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions
 

  • In a pan, melt butter and sauté the sliced mushrooms until slightly soft.
  • In another pan, heat oil and fry the onions until they turn light pink. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for 2 minutes.
  • Add turmeric powder and salt, and continue frying for another 2 minutes.
  • Now, add the tomatoes and sauté until slightly cooked.
  • In a bowl, mix yogurt, cumin powder, chilli powder, and coriander powder.
  • Add the yogurt mixture to the onion-tomato mix. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the sautéed mushrooms to the gravy and bring it to a boil.
  • In a separate pan, heat ghee and add coriander powder. Stir well, then add cubed onions and fry for 2 minutes. Add Kashmiri chilli and fry for a few seconds.
  • Add this tadka to the mushroom curry. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with chapatis or rotis.
