- 3 nos Beetroot large
- 2 nos Potatoes medium sized
- 2 nos Onions large sized
- 2 nos Green chillies
- 2 slices Bread
- 2 tsp Ginger-Garlic paste
- 1 tbsp Garam masala powder
- Salt as per taste
- Rice powder and Rawa mix for coating the cutlets
- Oil as per requirement
- Coriander leaves chopped finely
Wash the beetroot, peel the skin, and cut them into halves. Cook the beetroot along with the potatoes in a pressure cooker. Once cooled, grate the beetroot and mash the potatoes.
In a pan, fry the chopped onions until light pink. Add the green chillies and fry for a minute. Then, add the grated beetroot, mashed potatoes, garam masala powder, and salt. Cook for 5 minutes.
Mix in the chopped coriander leaves and let the mixture cool.
Add the bread pieces to the cooled mixture and mash everything together.
Take a portion of the beetroot mix, shape it into a ball, and flatten it with your palms. Coat the cutlet with a mixture of rice powder and rawa.
Heat a tawa or pan, and place the cutlets on it. Drizzle a teaspoon of oil and fry the cutlets on medium flame. Flip them over and fry until golden brown.
Serve the hot beetroot cutlets with green chutney or tomato sauce.
