In this video, we will be preparing an authentic GSB dish called Ganti Talasani. This traditional Konkani recipe features soft colocasia leaves rolled into knots and cooked with a delightful mix of spices. Let's dive into the flavors of coastal India with this mouthwatering delicacy!

Ingredients
  

  • 15 no's Colocasia (Arvi) leaves
  • Bamboo Shoots a few
  • Jackfruit Seeds a few, cut into half
  • 2 no's Hog-Plums crushed
  • Salt as per taste
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Garlic Cloves a few, crushed
  • 2-3 no's Red Chillies

Instructions
 

  • Thoroughly wash the Colocasia (arvi) leaves and set them aside.
  • Take each leaf and roll them to make a knot. Repeat the same process with the rest of the leaves.
  • In a pressure cooker, add the knotted leaves, jackfruit seeds, bamboo shoots, hog plums, salt, and water.
  • Cook on high flame till one whistle, then simmer and cook for another 15 minutes.
  • In a Kadai, add oil, and once it's hot, add the crushed garlic and fry until it turns brown.
  • Add the red chilies and fry for a few seconds.
  • Pour in the cooked colocasia leaves into the Kadai, mix well, cover, and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Serve hot with rice
